For all the cat loving writers here, I present:
Comma Between Clawses (Alane Brown)
My kitty is a phrase who sleeps in fur pajamas
He curls in his nest in a shape like a comma
A comma is a breath in the space between two clauses
Like a nap, for a cat, it rests on its pawses
A comma is a pause as the thought turns anew
To paws and their claws and the damage they might do
A comma is a curve like a moon or a cheek
Or a kitty who is dreaming of the havoc he will wreak
